This biennial event, which is the first gathering in the world to honour sailing and motor boats, bears witness to the Yacht Club de Monaco’s unfailing attachment to the maritime heritage of sailing. Echoing the first motorboat meetings in 1904, this event is the only one to bring together the most beautiful traditional sailing boats, with vintage motor-yachts and old motorboats, to which a fleet of 12′ Dinghies has been added for four the last editions.
The 17th Monaco Classic Week-La Belle Classe is already shaping up to be an exceptional event, celebrating the gastronomy, grace and beauty of classic boats on land and at sea, not forgetting the dexterity of motorboats. This event is an opportunity to honour the maritime heritage represented by these boats, which are often over a hundred years old, to preserve traditional craftsmanship, to rediscover the joys of old-fashioned sailing and to bring owners and crews together ashore for moments of conviviality in the pure tradition of Monegasque savoir-vivre and its “Art de Vivre la Mer” so dear to the Y.C.M.
