MISSIONS

Founded in 1953 by Prince Rainier III and chaired since 1984 by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Yacht Club de Monaco  is at the heart of the international yachting community. It plays a key role in promoting sustainable yachting and technological innovation through various prestigious initiatives and events.

Organized by the Yacht Club de Monaco, the Monaco Classic Week showcases the vitality of Monaco’s maritime heritage and the Principality’s attachment to the values it embodies:
  • Preserve the maritime heritage represented by these often century-old boats, the last witnesses of yesteryear’s leisure boating, which have survived through the centuries thanks to the passion of their owners.
  • Preserve artisanal know-how, with the involvement of numerous trades, which tend to disappear
  • Rediscover the joys of traditional navigation, on the occasion of nautical events inspired by those of the last century
  • Share this passion with the general public through free access to the docks and the Exhibitor Village
  • Bringing the owners and crews together on land during moments of conviviality in the pure tradition of Monegasque savoir-vivre and its “Art of Living the Sea,” so dear to the Y.C.M.

Monaco Classic Week is a must for classic yachting enthusiasts. This biennial event brings together an impressive fleet of classic yachts, motor yachts and vintage sailing boats, putting on a dazzling show in Monaco’s Port Hercule.

Spectacular races and regattas showcasing the beauty and skill of classic yachts.

Exhibitions of historic boats and demonstrations of maritime craftsmanship.

Discussions and lectures on the history of yachting, restoration techniques and sustainability initiatives.

Evenings and cocktails to forge links within the yachting community.
