The jury, guardian of the “La Belle Classe” spirit, is composed of undisputed specialists in the history of yachting, who visit each of the boats to assess the quality of their restoration. The scoring takes into account the strict adherence to the original plans and the materials used for the construction of the boats, as well as the expertise of those who restored them.

A legacy of elegance Allegra Gucci

Great grand-daughter of Guccio Gucci, founder of the famous Italian fashion firm, Allegra Gucci inherited a prestigious name but above all a passion for the sea. Very early on, she learned the basics of sailing, determined to join the family crew. As a child, her first tacks were in small wooden boats, then at the age of nine she was introduced to Lasers on Lake St Moritz. She very quickly joined the crew on Avel, a 1986 gaff cutter where, regatta after regatta, she established herself as a sailor in her own right. It is a passion she has inherited from her father Maurizio Gucci who had Creole restored, the majestic three-masted 1927 schooner which won the Monaco Classic Week Trophy 2013. Loyal to this legacy, Allegra perpetuates the spirit of elegance and tradition at sea that she personifies today as President of the Elegance Contest Jury.
