Since its creation in 2005, under the impetus of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, President of the Yacht Club de Monaco, “La Belle Classe Tradition” has asserted its determination to help traditional yachting evolve, by federating shipowners around a Charter defending essential values:

– preservation of heritage and yachts
– respect for naval etiquette
– protection of the sea and the environment

A History of Prestige

La Belle Classe Tradition embodies the spirit of classic yachting, a world where the art of sailing meets the splendor and sophistication of the boats of yesteryear. Since its inception, the Yacht Club de Monaco, under the presidency of HSH Prince Albert II, has been dedicated to keeping this tradition alive, attracting enthusiasts from around the world to celebrate the beauty and history of classic yachts.

The objectives

  • Safeguarding maritime heritage and respecting all related units and elements,
    Respect for the history, maintenance and preservation of the yacht for which the owner is responsible, with a constant quest for authenticity and preservation of its original condition,
    Application of the maritime rules of mutual aid, solidarity and hospitality advocated by naval etiquette, both at sea and ashore,
    Participating in gatherings of traditional yachts, by promoting a “gentlemanly” attitude at all times and in all circumstances, based on respect and courtesy, whether towards other competitors or for the protection of yachts and people,
    Sharing and transmitting the pleasure of the sea and its values,
    Respect for the environment and the sea. Admission to “La Belle Classe Tradition” is not a matter of application, and there is no admission fee. Only a genuine commitment and a sincere desire to uphold these ethics will gain access.
