Since its creation in 2005, under the impetus of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, President of the Yacht Club de Monaco, ‘La Belle Classe Tradition’ has asserted its desire to develop traditional yachting by uniting shipowners around a Charter defending essential values:
– preservation of our heritage and yachts
– respect for naval etiquette
– protection of the sea and the environment

The Société des Régates de Monaco, whose yachting section became the Yacht Club de Monaco in 1953, was founded in 1888 by a group of sailing and rowing enthusiasts who attracted international regattas from 1889 onwards.
